Get The Smile You’ve Always Wanted
When we have patients that come in and they want to have a smile makeover, one of the first things that we do is we get a lot of pictures of the patient. From those pictures, we’re able to create a new smile for the patient. Before we proceed, we also show that to them.
But in our smile makeovers, what we initially do is we’ll take impressions of the patient. We’ll have composite material developed so we can put that exactly over the teeth where the patients are going to see what the new smile is. They’re going to wear this home. They’re going to speak with it. They’re going to talk with it. They’re going to eat with it. They’re going to show it to their family and friends. We’re going to work out any situations where we may need to adjust the bite on the patient, adjust the length of the teeth. This is the area which we can shape and form the teeth to what they want.
Obviously, a little lady who’s five feet two and weighs 110 pounds is not going to have the same size teeth as a lumberjack, so we want to make sure that the teeth fit the individual and the individual likes what they have. From that standpoint, we can then go through and we can then restore the mouth with the top arch at one time and the bottom arch, or we can do it all together at one time, whatever the patient has desires for. This is something that many patients will choose to do over a period of time, because we already have the new smile in there and we can change out the temporary restorations that we have to the permanent restorations at their schedule, which is important for them.
